Cause during Fashion Week I Become a Groupie

Not My Thing But... New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015

Being in front of the camera is not my thing but I'm making an exception because I love FashionWeek, so here we go, these were some of my looks during the big week.

As you can almost see I'm all about being comfortable although I'm wearing high heel on three of them I personally prefer my chunks and flats but I kind of told to myself that I have to dress more feminine and for some reason I have collected an impressive amount of pretty and girly high heel shoes just because they look so pretty inside the boxes but promising to myself that I'm going to start wearing them someday and Fashion Week happened to be a few of those days.

Carmen Marc Valvo 25th Aniverssary New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015

For Spring florals bloom abound paying homage to my garden, for all the joy and healing powers season by season after spring rains, it has provided me for so long.

My garden is revitalized with the first signs of spring, by a modern marriage of metal and mesh couture classics of double face silk organza and gazaar. Lengths are longer, legs caressed by organza blossoms in full swing.

My streaks of silver are stream-lined, aerodynamic appearing in hair spiraled on wrists, accented by ivory or black but sometimes, taking center stage with an explosion of jubilation.

"Dreams" by Ricardo Seco New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015

True to Seco's Mexican origins, "Dreams" was inspired by the Wixarika tribe. Seco incorporated the beading and warm multi-colored details of the indigenous community into his classic, sophisticated style for men and women. He harmonizes the collaboration by integrating simple pieces and classic silhouettes and adds the fruit colored essentials in accessories such a handmade sunglasses and his custom New Balance sneakers for men and women..

"Dreams" is a effortless collection for both men and women, It is for those who dare to combine texture and color to enjoy the Spring and Summer in a chic, bold manner. Wixarika blends color and in this collection makes the perfect combination with the black, white and grey combined with textures of suede, leather, cotton, neoprene and silk.

Pieces for women include dresses, shirts, bombers, and jumpsuits while men pieces include sweaters, pants, swimsuits and shorts.

Pura Piel by Etxeberria New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015

Pura Piel is a double Spring/Summer 2015 collection for both men and women.

Made entirely with leather. It explores the boundaries of the use of this material together with suede and exotics, in summer garments, taking classical typologies as a starting point.

T-shirts, jackets and pencil dresses endorse the current trend to use leather in the summer outfit by distorting the patterns and using cuts, zippers and folds.

The result: 2 collections loaded with sensuality, more distant to the androgynous than ever before, which we hope are surprising and moving as always.

The Supima Design Competition New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015

For this year's, Supima has partnered with America's leading design schools: Academy of Art University, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Fashion Institute of Technology, Kent State University, Rhode Island School of Design and Savannah College of Art and Design. Each school nominated one of its top graduating seniors as a finalist for the Supima Design Competition.

The Supima Design Competition required each designer to rethink familiar fabric conventions: the woven fabrications customarily used as high-end shirting; the fine jersey that goes into luxury tops and lingerie; and the sturdy denims, corduroys, and twills that make up premium jeans and sportswear.
